Working flawlessly, again. Thanks for all the energy you put into this project!
I use Syndirella on a daily basis, and it's still the best! (and I'm not saying this because sharpreader doesn't work under win98) ;-)

    1 wish:
    - Create folders and move feeds on the left menu. My list keeps growing and growing...

    Great, great work.

coolest a new build. quick question though, what does it mean when the status bar says, 'the parameter is incorrect'. i get it a lot when i'm updating feeds on my home machine but i've never seen it on my work machine.

    keep up the good work.

I also get the "'the parameter is incorrect'" form time to time. I shut down and restart to correct the problem.
What would be useful is a place on the site where users can post settings they use for the Web Feed feature. Some settings can be tough to get right and a repository of them would be great. (of course a comments section would be needed to help keep each one up to date)

I stand second for zom's idea too. How about we make the internal subscription as a xml file, rather than a .dat one? I get this idea from SharpReader of course, and it would be really cool if we can make it happen in Syndirella. Then we can do more customized config in user subscription.

    Great product!
Is it possible to make some option which exports and/or imports ALL my feeds?
Is it possible to make some option dialog where I can enter different default feed values such as update every.. and save old entries..
One bug: the button update all feeds are not working, works only if I press F5

    John,
Currently you can export all of you settings by just grabbing synderella.dat
Only problem with that that there is no way to import it to another computer short of replacing the syndirella.dat on that machine. In other words there is no way to import and retain your old data. The critical part in import/export is the web feeds that have a lot of settings to get right making it not as simple to copy to an other machine. Since I assume that the format of the web feed settings are likely to change this will not be as easy. For example
    1) web feeds do not work with pages of forigne languages due to the fact that the html wrapper used to wrap the parsed html is not changable from feed to feed.

    2) an other example of a change needed is a way of delimiting the parts of the page that you want to parse. Say you only want the main headlines on the top of a page and currently that page has the sprts report on the bottom whose HTML matches the new headline section there would be no way to difrentiate and you would get all the articles, yet if you could set it to say start at the top of the html and end when it hit the sports section the parsing woud be more useful

3)if the headline of an article you want starts with the href leading to the main article you can't set the title portion of the feed

    4) a setting that would allow certain sites to not change the icon to red if updated. When I open synderella I can see that new news was added to those but it would be nice to be able to set which sites trigger the red icon "alert"

    Should have Dedicated Proxy Settings.
At this point the only proxy settings are the proxy auth fields. The rest are picked up from IE. When my browser is set to use an auto configuration script, Syndirella can't connect. Only when I change IE's settings to look directly at my proxy will Syndirella pick up this settings. Can fields for proxy url and proxy port be added if the user wants to override the default IE settings?

    Hey Dmitri,

I'm checking out some RSS clients that should be in either java or .net and opensource. Yours seems to be the best fit to my needs.
    Well done.

    Greetings from the Netherlands,
    Joost

Happy about you new job but sad about Syndirella.
There have been enhancements to it already.
What is needed is getting the people who are working on it together.

    See:
    groovymother Toast Mod

    and
    groovymother reorder mod

Both of these were built on a different Syndirella Mod by Simon Fell

There are probably more forked versions around. Anyone know of any others?

    What's the official next version?
Who's blog should we be reading?
Where do we go to work on Syndirella?

I'm looking for information regarding the RingTone format. I've read the sms3_0_0.pdf specification but the Ring Tone does not work.
    ¿Do you any related information?
    Best regards,
    Martin
