Hello people, this is Andrew Earles. I am a writer. In the Fall, Routledge Press will be publishing "Lost in the Grooves: Scram's Capricious Guide to the Music you Missed." I have several entries/chapters in this book, and a big sloppy "thanks" goes out to Kim Cooper and David Smay for considering and approving many of my original pitches. The contributor list includes George Pelecanos, Rick Moody, and Richard Meltzer - this translates into me being positively elated at keeping company with three writing heroes! Not to take away from everyone else that worked hard on the book, 'natch. On with the self-promotion. My writing appears, or has appeared in Magnet Magazine, While You Were Sleeping, Chunklet Magazine, McSweeneys.net, Scram Magazine, The Memphis Flyer, WFMU's Lowest Common Denominator, Sound Collector, and some other places. In lieu of publishing another issue of The Cimarron Weekend, or publishing anything at all, I will be regularly posting various pieces on this site. If you are one of the 78 people who enjoyed The Cimarron Weekend, color yourself in luck. What was to be another hard-copy journal in the CW style has emerged as a glorified blog.
